First of all Noble Throne would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. December is always a different kind of month for sire with the lead up to Christmas and the procrastinating of lots of left to the last minute jobs, however, sire has manage to get into Sire Claus mode again to deliver you something a little festive. Usually he focuses on celebrating the role of Santa in a hip hop style with a crazy but fun and diverse twist. He originally started out to remake God rest ye very Gentlemen with a new title of “God Bless You Very Mental Men” with the subject matter of crazy men at Christmas on psychotic drugs and mind numbing substances. He started out to do this and recorded the choruses and began writing the verses, shortly into writing it came to mind what most people do at Christmas and the effects of this and he began to think about Christmas is really about and changed the direction as it seemed the right thing to do.
After 2 verses in to the song sire began to struggle with content. At this point lots of thoughts were floating about and sire was having thoughts that this song maybe just a little too off the wall for people to stop and actually consider even listening too. Sire being sire he decided to continue you on and do some research on our favorite channel you tube and came up with a very interesting but eccentric man by the name of Archbishop Fulton Sheen explaining our relationship with god and his with us and what he considered to be the true meaning of Christmas.
After watching this 25 minutes talk, sire felt quite enlightened and inspired to make this part of the third verse, however when he tried to edit it, it became difficult without maintaining the meaning so he took a 7 min slice of the pie extending the track to around 10 minutes. Not many of you will want to listen to this or even listen again sire is aware of this but is something he wanted to share with you regardless. Also through the song you will hear a sample of Annie Lennox and the voice of sire singing the chorus has been removed and replaced by Perry Como singing God rest ye very Gentlemen thus bringing the title back to its original title. This has been an exciting journey for sire and he hopes you who listen take a sense of what Christmas is about from this song.
